DACKS first introduced food lovers in New York City to a blend of traditional island recipes and global influences.
The foundation is Jamaica’s rich culinary heritage: jerk spices, slow-cooked curries and fresh tropical ingredients. The goal was a dining experience that brings something new to the table while honoring authentic Caribbean roots.
Now cooking in Lawrenceville
After years of success and a loyal following up north, DACKS brought its signature flavors south.
We settled in the vibrant, diverse community of Lawrenceville, Georgia, on Sugarloaf Parkway. Here we keep serving dishes that pair the soul of Jamaican cooking with unexpected twists, and on Saturdays the room belongs to local artists, producers and DJs.
Jamaican soul, with a twist
Jerk, curry goat and oxtail sit beside the comfort food people love.
Oxtail tacos, jerk salmon quesadillas, loaded fries, wings and a lobster tail stuffed with mac and cheese. Even our fried rice crosses borders: we call it Jamaica Meets China.
